Our in-house transportation management system remotely checks the condition of each of our trucks and trailers on an hourly basis, notifying our maintenance staff of upcoming repairs, and sending the trucks that need attention to the headquarters. Though being selective can mean many things, you can be sure that when it comes to our operations, we are selective in every way.
Running Green
In 2022 we set an objective to become greener and overall lower our CO2 emissions. With our FUEL (Fuel Utilization Efficiency Leaders) bonus program, which financially rewards our fuel-efficient drivers and our investment in fuel-efficient semi trucks, we increased our fleet’s mpg by about 2% from 7.26 mpg to 7.40 mpg. This saves approximately 107,000 gallons of fuel each year; to put this in perspective, that is 3 full-size Olympic swimming pools. We cut CO2 emissions by 15 million pounds. It would otherwise take a forest the size of the city of Chicago an entire year to absorb this amount of CO2 emissions

In order to provide our customers with the best service possible, an asset-based carrier must have outstanding drivers. Each year, the GP Transco Management Team runs an extensive satisfaction survey among our drivers and compares the results to the national average. This helps us understand how our drivers feel when performing their work, and gives us insight into what we can do to increase their level of satisfaction. This leads to an improved service for our customers.
