Job Description

GP Transco is a modern trucking company that hires experienced drivers, talented office staff, and uses state-of-the-art equipment and software to deliver goods in the U.S. and Canada. We are currently seeking an individual to join our Marketing Team as a Marketing Coordinator. This position is location at our brand-new state of the art facility and headquarters in Joliet, IL.

Under general supervision, the Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for executing daily processes, activities, and objectives through direct communication with the Department’s Marketing Manager. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting with the setup, facilitation and completion of marketing tasks as assigned.

  • Assisting and aiding the Marketing Manager and Corporate Videographer in the design and graphics of marketing materials as assigned.

  • Gathering and presenting data through collecting feedback from our driver fleet and office staff.

  • Supporting the Marketing Manager in various internal projects across multiple-departments through-out all locations both domestic and international.

  • Creating and/or updating spreadsheets and databases for various internally focused company initiatives across various departments.

  • Open to the idea of writing marketing content which will align with GP Transco's voice and ideals as assigned.

  • Proof reading and editing various copy material.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Strong verbal and writing skills with copy-editing abilities.

  • Digital photography and video editing experience a plus.

  • Familiarity with social media, social networking, email marketing and search engines with the ability to spot emerging trends.

  • Basic familiarity with various digital cloud-based social, design and CMS platforms, experience with the below platforms preferred:

    • Wix​

    • Microsoft 365 – OneDrive, Outlook, Word, Excel, Forms, SharePoint, Power Automations, and Planner preferably

    • Adobe Creative Cloud – Photoshop preferably

    • Google Business Suite – Analytics, Ads and Search Console preferably

    • Canva

    • MailChimp

    • Social Networks:

      • Facebook Business Suite​

      • Instagram

      • LinkedIn

      • YouTube

      • Google My Business

      • TikTok

      • Snapchat

      • Reddit

  • High level of organization and attention to detail with excellent time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Possess strong problem solving and critical thinking skills with an outgoing personality while operating in a modern fast-paced and ever-changing open-spaced work environment.

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field a plus.
