GP Transco is a modern trucking company that hires experienced drivers, talented office staff, and uses state-of-the-art equipment & software to deliver goods in the U.S. and Canada. We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join the maintenance team as a Fleet Maintenance Service Advisor for 1st Shift at our brand-new maintenance facility and headquarters in Joliet, IL. Fleet Maintenance experience preferred.
As a Fleet Maintenance Service Advisor, your key responsibility is to execute the daily processes and activities involving equipment maintenance, driver, and staff interactions, as well as other department needs. This multi-faceted position has you accountable for managing driver communication and limiting downtime when breakdowns or other events occur. This position broadens your industry knowledge, which in turn drives your career to limitless opportunities and potential.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

Foster a culture of safety within the maintenance department while ensuring we are providing the best equipment to our drivers

Monitor and coordinate PM services

Ensure all maintenance related communications from drivers are handled in a timely and professional manner

Cultivate strong relationships with drivers, vendors, and technicians

Communicate with the operations and dispatch teams on truck availability and down time
REQUIREMENTS:

General knowledge of the transportation industry

Fleet Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)

Transportation Industry: 1 year (Preferred)

Driver's License (Preferred)

High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work well under pressure
