Job Description

We are currently seeking experienced individuals to join the maintenance team at our headquarters in Joliet, IL. 


As a Fleet Maintenance Service Advisor, you are the first point of contact for all drivers bringing their vehicle in for service. It is your job to greet the driver and take them through the repair process in a smooth, professional manner! The process begins by doing a walk around of the truck/trailer, gathering vehicle information and listening to the driver explain any issues so you can better understand the problem.

 

It is the responsibility of a Fleet Maintenance Service Advisor to execute the daily processes and activities involving equipment maintenance, driver and staff interactions, as well as other department needs. The continuous goal is to drive accountability with the maintenance technicians, ensuring decreased down-time, quicker up-time, and providing clear concise communication to all involved personnel; including but not limited to, Operations, Customer Service, and leadership.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Foster a culture of safety within the maintenance department.

  • Monitor and coordinate PM services to ensure we provide safe, reliable equipment.

  • Organize and prioritize to ensure all maintenance related communications from drivers are handled in a timely and professional manner.

  • Cultivate strong relationships with drivers, vendors, and technicians.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • General knowledge of the transportation industry.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work well under pressure.

  • Ability to multitask efficiently.

  • Professional attitude and team mindset.

  • The ability to handle emergencies – to stay calm and make effective decisions quickly.

LOCATION:

  • On-site at HQ - 3200 Channahon Rd, Joliet, IL 

JOB TYPE: 

  • Full-time

COMPENSATION: 

  • $52,000 - $60,000 

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: 

  • Driver's License (Required)

EXPERIENCE:

  • Fleet Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Transportation Industry: 1 year (Preferred)

SCHEDULE: 

  • Monday to Friday; potential for weekends with overtime pay.

SHIFT AVAILABILITY:

  • Night Shift 2pm-12am (Preferred)
